On Friday, Nov. 18, I had a bronchoscopy procedure to check out that lymph node that lit up during my PET scan. The results are back – NO CANCER in the lymph nodes! This means I have “localized disease” and surgical resection is the next step.
The procedure went well at Northwest Hospital. My surgeon had said that the doctor there was very good at this procedure and if anyone could get to where this node was, he could do it. There’s always the risk, too, that you won’t get good samples. He got great samples!
Thank you all for praying. I’ve been thinking today of the mercy shown me in finding this early. I want to hunt down the name of the radiologist who did the very first scan and found the mass even though the lungs were not the focus and say, Thank You!
