Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.
One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts. On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate.
They shall speak of the might of your awesome deeds, and I will declare your greatness.
They shall pour forth the fame of your abundant goodness and shall sing aloud of your righteousness.
The LORD is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.Psalm 145:3-8
Today is the one-year anniversary of my cancer diagnosis. What does one do to mark this day? Do you mark it? Yes, I think so because it is a place to remember God’s faithfulness.
I wanted to acknowledge this day this morning first thing and as I took Marc’s hand in the kitchen to pray the tears started. Thank you God for this day to remember how you have been faithful to us. I remember how we cried with deep groanings on this day and You were with us. You cried with us. I remember how You surrounded us with friends and family for support. I remember how You were with me in the quiet moments of fear and disbelief that this would be part of my story. But in each place You used this cancer to cause me to seek after You and You faithfully revealed Yourself. That is the redemption of the sin and pain of this world—seeing God.
Thanks again to all of you who have walked with us this year. We are so thankful for each of you.
God truly makes something beautiful out of the pain of our lives.
In Love,
