My mailbox is a gift box these days. Books, hats, plaques, cards are coming almost every day. I am overjoyed and humbled. So many are thinking of me and are moved by compassion to do something. Grace is being given to me. Each one is a reminder of the lavish grace of God.
Someone sent me a book. I started it last night. Marc and I belly laughed through one paragraph I read out loud to him. Thank you, whoever you are!
Others have sent hats, thank you! Cards with precious words of encouragement, thank you. Plaques with words to remember like “faith”. Thank you.
Others are bringing gifts—hats, tea, meals. Thank you.
I pray that I will be as thoughtful to others when I have an opportunity as you have been to me. Thank you so much for being a tangible expression of the lavish grace of God to me. I am amazed that so many are thinking of me. I am not alone. Reminders again of God who thinks of me constantly (Psalm 139) and who is always with me (Psalm 139).
I pray God’s abundant grace to all of you for your thoughtfulness toward me,
