Surgery Date

Well, my hopes of having surgery sometime in December will not come to pass. My surgery has been scheduled for January 3.

In the midst of this, I’m trying to be grateful for all the mercies I’ve been shown in that this is localized disease and will most likely end with surgery. No follow up treatment needed. But there is still a cancerous growth in my lung that gets to keep growing while I wait for surgery. Ugh.

Hopefully the surgery can be done using a minimally invasive procedure. That means just a couple of days in the hospital. The recovery will be slow though as I get used to having less lung. If you’d like to know more about the surgery procedure you can look here:
