I’m home!

Last night my night nurse said, Ok we’re gonna take blood at 5 am and the numbers will be up and you’ll be going home. That’s my prayer, I said. The target was a count of 500 in order to go home. This morning is was at 1300! Yippee!

The discharge doctor told me to always take these fevers very seriously. He could not say that this won’t happen again. It doesn’t seem that this time in the hospital will interrupt my chemo schedule. Next Thursday, Nov. 10, is my 3rd infusion. I can’t believe it is that time again. I will need to savor this next week.

Thanks for all your emails and comments on the blog and other places. Each one was a great encouragement to me.
